Janine graduated in 1998 from the School of Occupational Therapy at Curtin University of Technology. She has worked in both community and hospital based settings, in private and public sectors in Australia and in the United Kingdom. Janine discovered a love of hand therapy in 2002 when she joined the team at Specialised Hand Therapy Services.

Janine has enjoyed contributing to the hand therapy profession as a past convenor of the WAOTA Hand Interest Group. She has also presented at local and national Australian Hand Therapy Association (AHTA) conferences during her career. She has most recently provided education seminars for hand therapists in the area of neuropathic pain and management of chronic pain conditions. Janine has also participated in numerous educational courses with more recent topics including; Hand and Upper Limb Sports Injuries and Management of Wrist Injuries.
